The little raccoon
The little raccoon
By: RICHARD PADRÓ MARTÍNEZ
There was once,
deep in the forest in a very tall tree there was a hole
where a raccoon
family lived. Mrs. Mapache had three babies that were
hungry
their mom decides
to show them the world:
-This is the
grass- their mother tells them. The little children loved it, they shot, they
romped and
They even tasted
the grass.
One night, Mrs.
Raccoon goes out with her children to look for food. His eyes shine
like little
lights.
But mom only sees
two pairs of eyes. Oh! The smallest has been lost!
Go get it! Before
the Fox finds it.
Little one had
stopped to say hello to a porcupine, I wanted to ask him why
It has long thorns
and not a soft fur like it.
- How curious you
are, son! - his mother says. Small come with me. -This is the water-
said the mother.
In it they saw tasty fish.
Small gets
excited, approaches and slips. Falls into the water How restless was Little!
Why do you always
do what you should not?
One day Mama naps
and a Fox approaches without making a noise. Little
Think quickly
Instantly runs for help.
-Soon soon! tells
his friend Porcupine.
And when the Fox
is about to jump on Mrs. Raccoon, suddenly
a jump in the air
and away screaming in pain. Mom wakes up and asks for
Little. Did the
Fox take it? No, there it is, with Porcupine.
How proud Mrs.
Raccoon was! How proud the little raccoon are! But
the proudest one
is Little! At last he did what he had to do!
