Difference between ESL and EFL

For me, I think the difference is that in ESL(English as a second language) the student is in the country where ENGLISH is spoken. That mean you have a lot of opportunity to practice the English also it’s a necessity, while in the EFL (English as a forage language) the student is studying a language that is not spoken in that country. That mean you don’t have a lot of opportunity for practice and you think that is easier to speak your own language to communicate with other people.
